Questions
about me and why I sell Trading Systems
You do not know about me except the testimonials you
have read, or a recommendation from another person.
You may have bought my system out of a leap of faith,
or you may be a
course jumper, giving up as soon as they get frustrated.
Some are skeptical, with a chip on their shoulder,
ready to prove my system is a scam. It's not. Here
are some questions a skeptical new Students asked
me, and my answers in red.
From a new student: Most people here who are learning
are not only learning the system but fighting with
other unseen demons such as :
Is this system a scam? NO. Over
60 5 star reviews on Forex Peace Army and over 500
positive feedbacks on ebay should prove that. You
don't get that by being a scam. People are too smart.
Does it really work in real life? It works if you,
the student, are willing to do the work necessary
to make it work. That means constantly trying to improve
your trading skills and your mental/emotional skills.
It means being persistent and not giving up easily.
If the system is so good then
why does Jon still waste time teaching us when he
should be a millionaire retired in the Bahamas by
now? I have mentioned many times that I did not like
all the rip offs out there and I wanted to be an honest
one. I get a great sense of satisfaction, at my stage
of life, giving back to the community. This is my
way of doing that. Besides, laying on the beach all
day bores me.
Why does it look like that Jon is merely interpreting
charts at the end of the day instead of trading it
live like us?
It would be nice to be able
to do that. Would save me a lot of time. However I
trade from 7:00 am till noon, five hours. I trade
live, and I love it. A student SHOULD NOT be trading
live while mentoring. Students need to master the
system first. Worrying about winning or losing money
makes you break rules.
Why do people sell systems/training/strategies at
all if they are so good?
Any experienced trader knows
that you can give the exact proven, winning trading
system to 10 different people and get 10 different
results. Some make millions and some make nothing.
Email from the same student a month later:
Jon,
The emotions of a newbie trader like myself fluctuate
with more volatility than the price of the EUD/USD
at news time. It can range from euphoric where I feel
like I've come accross some sort of Holy Grail that
will unlock powers of wealth reserved only for movie
stars and footballers to deep sceptism where I feel
like I have been hoodwinked and that I have wasted
time and effort in this fruitless journey into Forexland.
It is during the latter emotion that the demons begin
to play and the newbie trader looks for flaws that
simply aren't there. This thread is one of them in
my humble opinion. When a trade goes wrong it is very
easy to point fingers at the teacher - "he doesn't
trade the system himself" or "it's easy
for him to say because he isn't sat in front of the
machine all day", etc, etc.
However upon analysis of this, if the students (myself
included) look at the paranoid thoughts with some
logic then two things become apparent:
Firstly, Jon has been mentoring students daily for
a good while now and still he has recieved great reviews
prior to the latest class of which I am a part. For
us students to presume that we are the first to 'expose'
some flaw in his teaching/system after only weeks
of trading is both arrogant and defeatist. I, for
one, approached an ex-student who now makes a living
from this system and he trades live with no complaints.
Secondly, even if you were to listen to your paranoia
for a second and assume that this is the case. The
futility of this argument becomes apparent when you
trade live yourself. I know a large group of students
currently who are aiming for 20 pips daily. That's
100 pips a week. Even if some of the trades are dubious
or you disagree with them, there are some trades that
even I have seen this week (demo trading live in front
of my PC) that got me at least 100 pips by now and
it isn't even friday yet. Regardless of the fact that
some trades are only apparent at the end of day and
not in front of the machine, there are others that
just scream out to you - that's the beauty of this
system. I think the students (me included) are best
advised to save their energies trying to 'break' this
system and instead focus on becoming a success like
Jon and other graduates of the past that have gone
on to make a living out of this.
Take care and good trading everyone.
So be positive about this journey and give it 100%.
Looking forward to working with you.
